My Sweet Baby

My sweet baby please don’t cry You’ll be safe and warm all through the night Let magic dreams fill up your head Cuddle up in your soft little bed In enchanted kingdoms sail your dreams On a paper ship on sherbet streams On the orange river as it ebbs and flows Sail on gentile waves past blue plateaus Lemon like sun in the midday sky Singing over your head parrots fly Ride your ship till it comes to rest Along a gumdrop shore travel west Climb up the bank where the grass grows green Summer rays light the meadow scene With Gnomes and Pixies you dance and play Under the warm summer sun all day With Pixie dust all over your head You fly back home to your own warm bed
