My Strong Habitation
When to God I come near,
Distant things become clear,
No more have I to fear,
His Word is my power,
His Light is my tower,
His wings are my cover.
The Lord is the strength to the needy in distress,
The shadow in the heat when the heat does depress,
A mighty refuge from the stormy blast, oh yes!
Look unto the Lord all your days,
He will give you His loving grace
To lead you in all your ways.
Blessed are they that wait for Him,
The light of their eyes shan't grow dim,
Their cup of joy is up to brim.
Behold, God is my salvation,
He is my strong habitation,
There's no need for trepidation.
In my trouble, I call on Thee,
Great is Thy mercy toward me,
O God, may Thou exalted be.

(This form is called the "Beacon Of Hope"
Beacon of Hope Is a form created by Christina R Jussaume on 10/02/2009. It starts with a sestet, (Stanza of 6 lines) of 6 syllables each. Next is a triplet, (Stanza of three lines) of 12 syllables each. The next 12 lines are 8 syllables in length. The subject should be spiritual in nature and uplifting. I have used rhyme here but Rhyme scheme is up to each poet. It should be center aligned and it will appear to look like a lighthouse.)
