My Stockings Really Aren'T Sexy

Nora Batty is a character from a British sitcom called 'Last of the Summer Wine', she was famous for wearing wrinkled stockings

compression stockings I look like Nora Batty! surgery’s over I'm home after my surgery and couldn't resist writing this little poem - I've got to wear the stockings at home for 24 hours* ... thankfully they don't look anything like Nora Batty's! * I've actually got to wear them for THREE WEEKS ARGHHHHHHHHH! Thanks to so many lovely friends and soupers for your support - there are too many people to mention by name but I do appreciate so much:-) 04/01/18

Hi Jan, it's good to see you in high spirits even after surgery and having to wear 'compression stockings'! Thermal vests & stockings...that sure conjures a great picture:) Keeping my fingers crossed for you my friend. Hugs // paul

ha ha ha I have my thermal leggins on as it is bitterly cold at the moment - the 'nora batty' look isn't glamourous but if it stops me getting DVT then I will wear them all year if I have to!:-) hugs jan xx

Andrea i've got to wear these for 3 weeks arghhhhhhhhh but if it stops me getting DVT its worth it especially with the clot they discovered during my surgery!:-( hugs jan xx

Had a bit of a setback with a viral infection but am so so so much better now - got to wear these stocking for 3 weeks though - arghhhhhhhhhhhh!:-) hugs jan xx
