My Special Child's Pets

Dogs
antics delightful
feasting midst chicken bones
waiting to be caressed

Cats
cheerful meows
satisfied with dinner
toward sweet dreams

Love birds
couple crooning
disturbed with greetings
to fly freely they wish

Monkeys
monkeyrium in room
cuddly apes and baboons
staying as behaved bedmates
 
Dinosaurs
displayed rhinoceros 
hoping to roam 
yet imprisoned in child’s domain

Stuffed Animals
serene zoo
sweet partnership with mankind 
possible around my son’s world
