My Shackled Heart
O Memory I beg you set me free;
remove these binding shackles from my heart.
My recollections won’t you let me be;
allow my life to have a brand new start.
‘Twas just a year ago my love walked out
in search of greener pastures for to lie;
to find herself and left me here to doubt,
and try to understand the reasons why.
My mind is filled with lonely memories;
the springtime of our love and times we shared,
and how her passions always tried to please,
but now I wonder if she ever cared.
Release me now O cruel Memory;
allow my lonely heart to be set free.
