My Resolutions For 2023

As the current year is quickly ticking away The time has come for me to share, My resolutions for the coming year: What all steps I shall take in life to fare. Every new year is a time to start anew With thankfulness for what has been A time to introspect and correct the follies And come out of every trace of murkiness, mean As before, I will not skulk or hide in corners dark But shall venture out into the wider world Meet people and strengthen my ties Mixing and mingling with the gregarious crowd Wish to be a welcome presence wherever I go Try to give some cheer to all those I meet Love God with all my heart and sing praises to Him Through love, all bitterness I hope to defeat I shall secure a firm ground to stand erect So that I will not be carried away by the currents Share my bounty and carry out random acts of kindness For those who drown in life’s fierce torrents I shall try to smile and laugh more often Snatch, seize and savor every little chance To enjoy, for grains of sand will slip off the hourglass. With age, lesser are the prospects in life to advance. Life cannot always be smooth as we wish it to be Still, I shall carry my burdens as best as I can Will not recite the litany of my stinging woes Let go grudges, forgive, and face life with more elan Resolve to be more positive when life seems hopeless. With challenges rife, when no longer I can bear the load, I shall tenaciously hang on and clutch at the fraying rope. Proceed ahead hoping to see a light at the end of the road

Your resolutions are so incredibly practical, Valsa. Maybe add on more 'vague' stuff like: Will lose 10 lbs. Will limit my time on P.S. to 90 minutes per day. You know, stuff you can't quantify! (I'm pulling your leg, you know). LOL. Seriously, yours is a gentle, noble soul.

They are indeed practical resolutions . I don't think I need to shed lbs as my weight is OK. Limiting my time on PS is what I have been contemplating all the time. It makes me arrest my movements and hampers with my gardening and other household works. How I wish I could . Thanks a lot Gershon for your favorable opinion of me... :)

Once when a promise is made, sticking to it is more appreciable than making promises and failing to keep them. Thanks a lot Andrea !

All of us make resolutions ! But human nature makes us get lax and we begin to fail to stick to our resolutions. Thanks Tom for your honest comment

Being good is what is needed and involves all the things, I have mentioned ! Instead of being brief, I just elaborated it !That's all. Thanks a lot, dear friend !

Feel so honored and delighted by your sweet comment. I am not sure if I will be able to fulfill my resolutions. 'It is better to have desired and lost than never to have desired at all'. Thanks a lot harry!
