My Premise

So close I belong, So close I'd stay, Even when the clouds gather, Even when the tempest rage, I'd still stay close, Where else would I go to find solace? In whose embrace would I find comfort? Many are my troubles, Many are my assailants, Though I don’t wear my heart on my sleeves, In my chamber is a sea of turmoil, Each day I wake to face them in varying proportions, I'll stand by you, Take a step as you do, It’s safe a haven with you, Without I'd be a shadow, Without I'd be gone.

Though helplessness is expressed, "Even when the clouds gather, Even when the tempest rage, I'd still stay close" - gives great necessitated reality. Beautifully written. Congratulations!
