My Prayer

My Lord, and My God.
You are the creator.
Who can understand your mind?
Your creativeness astounds me,
You’re compassion, makes me weep.
Who are we to deserve such blessings?
Our journey on this land is a short one,
Yet the years seem long;
Unbearable, when trouble is upon us.
But you are there.
We are never outside of your presence
Never apart from your love
You are but a breath away
And yet, often we can’t find you
Fill us oh Lord with your understanding
Unseal our eyes so we may see
Guide our feet down the path
So when we die
We’ll be with thee.
