My Poetic Aspirations That Came Good

As I have been recently looking back all these years I've been writing it's filled my heart with such joy made my life with such lighting I have always loved a pen in fact, everywhere I go, I buy one especially love a uni-ball eye Its ink just flows getting words done Rhyme is my favourite poetry having been inspired so much bringing out from within myself so others bring out my touch So many famous poets inspire me Rossetti, Blake, Dickinson to name a few being a Scotsman love to read Burns writing my thoughts whether old or new The greatest gift that poetry brings is knowing real peace and contentment removing all my anxiety of former years Brings joy to my soul, takes away my fear (I have written this piece from looking at the question 'What is Poetry to me ?' looking back to when it began and where it's taken me.)

Good Morning Gordon. Hello. I believe we can all second your words and thoughts because it says it all. I loved the touch of buying a pen everywhere. Very nice. Yes, rhyme is one of the heartbeats of poetry. May your pen and pen of others never be dry. Thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful holiday week. Blessings.

Once you write your first poem you're hooked, but it's a great way to pour out your feelings on paper or just be inspired to write just about anything. Just looked out, not a trace of snow and temperatures have risen which is good news for my bank account lol. Have a great week and if I don't get the chance have a merry Christmas and best wishes for the coming New year. Tom

Gordon I feel every word you wrote in this poem as its just the way I feel. Its nice when others enjoy it, but mostly its just for me. It lets me express my feelings and lest them all float free. Your poem meant so much to me, dearly loved it and it goes to the top of my favorite list.
