My Nirvana

Rejuvenated, refreshed and relaxed, I float over the top of my lake There is a gentle squiggle movement in the water Some type of dark snake, holding her stiff head out, staring at me. Unconcerned, I float past her, loving the morning sky. It is one of those July days where I am one with nature. I must have hit a spring, it is warmer now, almost intensely warm. There are several springs in this lake, no idea how it happened. But it is one of the most refreshing things about my private haven. My husband had this dug for me a year ago, and it is my nirvana. There are catfish here, some of them rise to my body and nibble. I feel it is their way of saying “glad you are here”. Surrounded by soldiers of oak, we are safe here, completely relaxed.

Nirvana for some; gehinnom for others. One person's pleasure, another's pain. Snakes in the lake? Catfish biting today? ~ No Longer Thirsty

Aw, what a nice thing. I surely would like to have my own lake. Have had in the past, but we moved and the lake stayed behind. I miss the fresh fish!
