My New Pen

Today I bought myself a treat, A beautiful pen, it's awfully neat. I write my poetry out in ink With lovely penmanship....so I think. Pens are something I am finicky about. They must not blot or skip...or I'll pout. If I find one that is really good I buy several...as anyone would. I am now on my fifth journal of prose All written by hand...legibly I suppose. So my newest pen seems like it's a good one. For it looks just lovely when I'm done.

"Keep your paws off my Parker!" Your entry reminded me of those TV commercials of yesteryear.

good for you for still writing with a pen! How I love to be able to do that, but ummm my penmanship sucks! But I can relate to this too, I remember how inspired I was before to start writing in my journal all because I had just bought a new pen ;) Keep on writing Francine :) --nikko :)

Francine, I prefer writing everything in longhand first as well. Creative thoughts seem to flow more freely when we're not staring at a computer screen. I enjoyed reading about your attachment to your new pen -- hope it produces many more wonderful poems guided by inspiration. Love, Carolyn

I love your couplet. I am a pen and ink artist, drawing is Life itself to me! I concur in how you feel about pens.
