Francine Roberts Poet Couplet

My New Pen

Today I bought myself a treat,

A beautiful pen, it's awfully neat.

I write my poetry out in ink

With lovely penmanship....so I think.

Pens are something I am finicky about.

They must not blot or skip...or I'll pout.

If I find one that is really good

I buy several...as anyone would.

I am now on my fifth journal of prose

All written by hand...legibly I suppose.

So my newest pen seems like it's a good one.

For it looks just lovely when I'm done.

Creative thoughts seem to flow more freely when we're not staring at a computer screen.
