I found a little caterpillar it was climbing up my wall He’s become my special friend and I have named him Paul He clung up on the ceiling now what do you think of this Paul changed before my very eyes into a dark brown chrysalis Paul lived in my bedroom for a week then he emerged from his hard shell I shouted loudly for my mom you should have heard me yell We sat on the bed to watch him it took time for his wings to dry Now Paul’s been transformed into a most beautiful blue butterfly Nursery Rhyme Poetry Contest Sponsored by Eve Roper 03/07/21

He fly’s away, we marvel at nature’s magic powers He flits into the garden where he eats our bloody flowers! Sorry Jan... couldn't resist. Nice story; how weird that we’ve both written butterfly’s this week. Something similar happened some weeks back as I recall. I promise I haven’t bugged your computer. Terry

How lovely - a really exquisite write that children would love to hear over and over again as a night time story. A delicate beautiful poem JAN. Love and hugs Jennifer.

Well done, Jan! You can easily expand this into a book, e.g., pointing out that milkweed nourishes butterflies but not children, etc. In Hawai'i, as soon as a butterfly's wings dry enough to fly, they become breakfast for bulbuls ....Aloha! Rico

Nicely done Jan. I love butterflies and have chosen them as my symbol because they are a symbol of metamorphosis. The blue ones are my favorites. God Bless, JB
