My May
Music! Every where! Music!
Song birds songs.
Flowers –red and blue and all colors of the rainbow.
She bleeds green, with grass and weeds and leaves.
Warm days she gives at her end, warm days to short.
To soon she departs from me, how I hate to see her go
she is, of all her brothers and sisters the fairest of them all.
Sky’s too blue, like God's face smiling down
peering from Heaven, down on his creation.
Music! Every where! Music!
From birds, from wind in grass and trees.
Life! All new! Life in May, life is good, if only she could stay.
I wish I was born in May,
I wish I could live in May, as short as life is.
Music! Every where! Music!
