My Love, I Have Missed You Since You Have Been Gone
My love, I have missed you since you have been gone.
Into my memory is burned that infamous day.
I have lost you, but I must carry on.
Overcome with sleeplessness, I can’t help each yawn.
What was sunny is now cloudy since you went away.
My love, I have missed you since you have been gone.
A king has been devalued to nothing but a pawn.
You ignored each plea I submitted for your stay.
I have lost you, but I must carry on.
The morning dew still beads across the lawn.
The tiny rainbows in each one went astray.
My love, I have missed you since you have been gone.
I am forever hopeful new love will spawn.
However, each hope seems to fade and decay.
I have lost you, but I must carry on.
Darkness still holds an advantage over the dawn.
All the colors in the prism have turned to gray.
My love, I have missed you since you have been gone.
I have lost you, but I must carry on.
