My Love

You say you know how much I love you but...
...it never quite seems enough when the words leave my mouth

For as long as the sun burns, as long as the stars are bright...
...that is just a minuscule monument to my fiery devotion

You are the first idea in my head when I greet the morning sun...
...and the last I think of when I lay my head to rest

My only wish for you is to be at least as happy as I am and...
...to feel your life is entwined completely with mine

A fluid, resonating flow of emotion here. I miss feeling this way. Wonderfully expressed.

Thank you! I've been trying to get back into writing poems. I am one of those who just gets these bursts of inspiration followed by years of nada :) Interesting tidbit, I just got married in January to a man with *almost* your exact name (no second "e" in the last name).
