I’m visiting ‘Casa Del Back Garden’ it’s a beautiful place I must say, I‘ll potter about in my greenhouse for safety it’s at home we must stay Despite us being on lockdown we’ve got enough food to eat, So I get busy in ‘Gran Kitchena’ and I’ll cook up a real tasty treat My holiday doesn’t ‘Costa Fortuna’ as we’ve been told that we cannot roam, so I’ve created a virtual vacation but in truth there’s no place like home! We were due to be going to Edinburgh next week of course its all cancelled due to CV so i am having a holiday at home. 05/09/20

I loved the humor in this poem Jan. What can we do but laugh it off. We can't change anything. This was delightful! xxoo

Excellent poem, and yes no place like home, we have moved our small business to our home and the two ladies working for us are also working from home, but in truth, it's like one long holiday! We watch Netflix or Showmax every night , and have breakfast on our veranda or in the garden in the mornings - we are having an Indian summer, temperatures should be down to 17 or 18 degrees but we are enjoying temperatures of 26 degrees! Love this poem Jan and have to fav. this write. Blessings, Jenn

It's so wonderful how people and businesses are adapting to the changes in fact some are thriving here especially ones doing food delivery services. so lovely to hear your positive news with your change of working conditions ... since you are having such a positive time with the changes will you go back to how you were when lock down is lifted? :-) hugs jan xx

The virus has changed things for everyone. I seriously doubt things will ever return to the way they once were. We're a changed generation. I love you sweet Jan. Will look forward to reading more of your writing and sending my prayers for your many blessings, dear friend. Love, Gina

My sentiments exactly, I've loved the thought of knowing I can relax with household chores and feel less guilty for sitting reading ps poetry and attempting to write some of my own. Cooking more exotic meals. Realising how lucky I am at 82 to still be aware of what is going on in the world and give thanks for that. I really enjoyed reading your poem it was full of fun and contentment Thank you Jan

what a super comment, thanks for sharing Shirley, we have so much to be thankful for - the best thing lock down has brought me is to have my son home, the hardest thing is not seeing mum and friends but in time we will be able to meet but keeping health is of paramount importance!!:-) hugs Jan xx

What a funny meme! All of us had places to go stopped by the sweeping hand of covid-19. Staycations we have with some work on the side.

Yes definitely staycations for us, we are confined on our little Island and couldn't get off if we tried as we have no plane. Perhaps we could go by ferry but then would have to self isolate in the uk and again on the Island if we were allowed to return so its home sweet home for me:-) hugs Jan xx
