My Job

I am a clown that works in a circus,
Without the make-up and the funny clothes,
Yet, I strive for laughter everyday.
My family needs it in times like now.

I am a lawyer of reckoning times,
Without high fees and hidden agenda,
Yet, peaceful solution is quickly gained.
My family needs it in times like these.

I am a wife and mom full of loving,
Without desire for prestige employment,
Yet, smudged kisses are sweetest reward.
My family needs them in cherished times.

I am a person lacking perfection,
Without my family I would be lost,
Yet, I know seasons of life often change.
My family needs me at present time.
