MILNER'S TOWER

PEEL CASTLE

CASTLE RUSHEN

OUR WONDERFUL STEAM RAILWAY

I wake up at the break of dawn stretching, I stifle a huge yawn then fumble for my coffee cup at the break of dawn I wake up I must prepare a little snack and pack it into my rucksack For my days out in the fresh air a little snack I must prepare I’ll ramble on lush verdant hills admiring golden daffodils I’ll stay out till the sun has gone lush verdant hills I’ll ramble on I’ll stay outside for quite a while and clamber over fence and stile Our Island makes me beam with pride for quite a while I’ll stay outside Swap The Verse Poetry Contest Sponsored by Joseph May 06/05/20

A beautiful Island it is...the old Irish called it Mano...with such a small population the virus probably did not affect the island much...It lovely to hear you wake up to a wonderful morning...

We had over 300 cases and about 24 deaths (20 of those in one care home) so far 20 days clear which shows the social distancing etc has worked but we cant be complacent and the borders will not be re opened for some months yet:-) hugs Jan xx

True Christopher but there are many who just like to go out for a social drink and not food. 20 days clear now so long may it continue - we won't be socialising with friends for a meal for good few months until all is well:-) hugs Jan xx

Great Jan Not a bad idea if you think about it. Pubs make money on meals not drinks and it gets you out socialising then why not. Hugs x

15 days virus free and no active cases but we cant be complacent:-) more things are opening up from 15th - we can go to a pub but have to have a meal... there are no pubs which just serve beer opening up which is a blow to many:-( hope all is good with you:-) hugs jan xx

I would SO love to meet you Ilene it would be our pleasure to show you our little Island. I too don;t know how long it will be before we will travel we have holiday booked but I expect it will be cancelled and I would rather move it to next year to try and ensure we are safe. I think many will think twice about taking a break too far from home:-) hugs Jan xx
