My Iraq Soldier

I'am always thirsty.
Yerning for your love.
Though you are so far away.
your all i'am thinking of.

The days are long and lonely.
The nights are restless.
The children fight.
The money is tight.
And all I think of is you.

You made a sacrific.
For all the world to see.
But you've always been a hero,
To our children and to me!

Do not be a hero.
Keep your head down low.
I will be there with you.
My heart will follow where ever you may go.

If this is about you husband, my thoughts are with him. I have written quite a few war poems, and writing them can get to you. Thank you once again Christie >> James

God bless you here at home, and God bless him for the difficult job he is doing to keep us all safe. What a sacrifice you are both having to make for the rest of us. I pray it won't take too long, and that you will be together soon. Blessings!.....Carrie

My Son got married just before they shipped him to Iraq - he should be home next month to start his life with his wife - She is a hometown girl here in our little town and she will be off to New York in a couple of weeks to get their first home together all set up for him to come home to - I'm so proud of these two kids - May your hero return to you soon - God Bless

Very powerful...I love it. May I use it in a small magazine I write for?
