War Vets Dream

When he came from Nam he had a plan
That not many people would understand.
To help children see that not all in life
Was destruction and poverty.
With death and bombings all around
All he could hear was the children s sounds.

With tears in their eyes and not understanding why
Why so many bodies on the ground
And not a one making a sound.
All he could see was these faces of despair
Children did not understand and could not care.

These visions of the war would
always stay in his mind
From that day forward till the end of time.
He vowed that he would do all that he can
To help all children and his fellow man.

When you see the ravages of war
And a country torn apart
And its people scattered
Then staying alive is all that matters.

He knew that he could not stop this genocide
But he knew for the future children he had to try.
He wanted to create a place called “children s world”
A safe haven for every boy and girl.

A place where children could be children
And war they would not see.
Where they could be with friends and their families.
A place with a roof over their heads
Hot food and a bed.

He knows with time this dream will come true
“It just depends on people like you.”

My Iraq Soldier

I'am always thirsty.
Yerning for your love.
Though you are so far away.
your all i'am thinking of.

The days are long and lonely.
The nights are restless.
The children fight.
The money is tight.
And all I think of is you.

You made a sacrific.
For all the world to see.
But you've always been a hero,
To our children and to me!

Do not be a hero.
Keep your head down low.
I will be there with you.
My heart will follow where ever you may go.

Mama Liberia

When freedom raise in her glorious form
Mama Liberia,I saw U glow and bloom, not knowing U were dome,
You were known for freedom songs, now you sit in the dark
wondering what went wrong,
With the lost of your youths U remain strong,
Mama Liberia,U sit on your bench watching your children dig war trench
where they laid fill with rage to kill without paid,
Which is ill, knowing that we are brothers from U mother
You saw your children pain, while they watch their homes burn
in flames, with fingers pointing to a frame on the wall that is about
to fall,U asked who's the blame? It's Charles Taylor your babies scream,
I saw U smile when U heard that your sisters in the west(Ghana,Guinea,Nigeria & Sierra-
Lone)were just a mile and your wait now is just a while; from your shores that was known as
pilgrims best now salutes as the worst
You had dreams of your children bringing U fame without games, educational
celebrities exercising their liberties the true meaning of your name
but instead we leave U in shame,Mama Liberia,I see U sitting on Montserrado
virgin high waiting for the freedom bird to fly by,with your feet covered in ashes and your
cries over power your riches,U wait as your children stay in crisis. May Freedom
Prevail,Mama Liberia.

Premium Member When a Blind Man Cries

On a patrol for the good so far from their home
Professional in their minds, never to roam

But this is a world, where feelings are forgotten
Damning souls of destruction fuelled with gun-cotton

For on rocky outcrops and deserted sand paths
Lie hidden dangers to take life from it's grasp

Coalition troops, our children just boys
Doing their duty for their orders employ

On missions they set out to rid insurgent scum
Against a tactic so great, guerrilla warfare hit and run

Recent news has informed us, that another has been downed
A father, uncle or son, leave another family tear drowned

Another hidden device in his face has exploded
Their hunger to hate once again has been loaded

Medics rush in to save the life of their soul
Knowing when he's home, another stat for wars toll

Many weeks he recuperates, behind bandages and care
Visited by friends, but only his children do stare

His strength now regained, but not the man he once was
A silence beckons then turns to applause

Assisted by comrades as he is led to collect
His medal of valour whilst inside he reflects

In his future years knowing his children grow strong
For he's in a dark world, where he doesn't belong

Emotions so many will follow his years
For when this blind man cries, we must share in his tears

Incubus

A raw communion wafer in my hand
A hard wind melting the castles of sand

There is an anger roaring through us
A surf thrashing on the rocky shore
An inebriated old incubus
Its wist binds our Samson to the floor
It butters the children dry bread
Broke hole in my mother's shoes
Turn blue, silky skies to lead
And print morning and evening news
I saw the pale infection
Coiled like a whip on a Great House floor
The master of the plantation
The tears of children on a foreign shore.

Bombs and Babies

See little children dreaming in there beds as the U.S. Bombs drop on there heads, six
hundred fifty five thousand in 7 years dead.
Oh unmanned Stealth flying the Sky
Machines dont care who die
This WAR MACHINE feeds on human fear
The same president for seventy three years
With one task for all time
Same corporation different masks same crime
What a heavy toll our children will pay
and now they say the Nazi's founded the CIA

The earth is troubled and soon will break
We did it to our selves, take, take, take
Not worried about the effects,
Till the day it may break
Our future lies in our hands
But now it may be too late.
Our past mistakes were not my mistakes,
But I have to live in others troubled ways.
The world is in chaos!
Lies, Sex, TV all the same
No one realizing the effect till it’s too late
Our children always unsafe
To have to worry, should not be the case
We struggle each day to hear the deaths.
We tremble when someone is not there
Technology has succeeded but,
We lost it to our children
Trying to connect we struggle
There trust varies
Always to struggle
Therapy can help
But, the lord my savior can, and will change
Lies will soon leave, the connection, will be wanted
TV will soon be appropriate
The children will soon help
Reaching the lives on loved ones

Children of Palastine

Ibrahiem is three years old, he has no parents and he's feeling cold.
Miriam can't go to school. Her parent are to poor, theirs nothing they can do.
Aisha has no legs. A bomb fell on her house, while she was sleeping.

Latifa can't read or write. A simple operation could put things right.
Akeem is so hungry he cries in pain. He hasn't eaten for five days.
Imran can't sleep, it's to cold and damp. No blanket to keep him warm from dusk until dawn.

''The worlds forgotten us'' the children of Palastine cry.

I send all I can, I want to do more. I wish I could invite them to my door.
Theses children are destitute, hungry and poor. The world watches on, we have to do more.
