This is my attempt at a write about what the thoughts of a person suffering depression thinks. Mental illness seems to be becoming more prominent lately, and this attempts to shed light on what these folks might be thinking.
Fortunately, I don't suffer from depression.
Please can you stop, can you leave me alone,
Please can you go your own way,
Please won’t you just control what you do,
Please can you watch what you say,
And try to stop thinking those thoughts through the night,
Please allow me to dream,
Please allow my mind to drift off,
Please stop being extreme,
Because I know I’m unloved, I exist in a void,
I know I’ll pay bills and then die,
I know that when my names on the wall,
No one will care, nobody will cry,
Please can you stop this voice in my head,
You’re making my life sound so sad,
Please can you stop, you’ve convinced me in full,
My life’s only ever been bad.
