Notes About The Poem

My Heart and Soul Cry Justice

Love Justice made me wrest you from her bed
It’s right for you to lie with me instead
For you were mine before she came to be
A prowling threat to our felicity

My broken heart cries…JUSTICE!

It’s meant for me to ravish you tonight
To give you pain as well as sheer delight
I love you still and yet your heart must pay
For shameless way you gave my love away

My wounded pride cries...JUSTICE

And here you are inside my bed of love
I’ve bound you up, no more a gentle dove
I take revenge on body and your soul
Enslaved, you yield to dominatrix role

My passion mad cries…JUSTICE

I take from you: I take, I take, I take
Each pleasure filled, I writhe and make you quake
I kiss, caress, and taste in wanton might
Your eyes ablaze, your fervor I ignite

My vengeful soul cries…JUSTICE

And all the while I hear you gasp MY name
In ecstasy my spoils of war I claim
You beg forgiveness as you helpless lie
I satiate my needs; fulfilled I sigh

My hungry need cries…JUSTICE

This tryst was meant to teach you lover's pain
You bear the marks of love that is insane
I slash your bonds and fall in your embrace
For I have seen the wonder in your face

Relieved am I, for I have tasted JUSTICE!

Oh, Rhonda. Please allow me to apologize to you, my dear. I'm so so sorry about my post. I'm a silly goose who sometimes reads too much into things. I tend to project my own insecurities on a situation and invariably someone winds up getting hurt. I hope you will be gracious and forgive me for inferring what you never meant. :) I'm very grateful that you've come back...Thanks for being kind, Rhonda. I've answered the soup mail. Hugs

Thanks, Rhonda. I know what Justin is after, and I play to my audience of one. I didn't join his last contest on the theme of death, but love, passion, romance....That's right up my alley. Justin inspires me. It would interest you to know that I've had first place wins with other sponsors as well. I've won first place three times with Craig Cornish, and one second place. First place with Debbie Guzzi on her Sijo contest, and I can name others. Some sponsors I just don't do well with. They don't like my style, so...I don't join their contests. I like doing well, and don't believe in setting myself up for failure. In retrospect, perhaps Justin and I shouldn't have posted our collab right before these contest results came out. Oh well...I believe I had a strong entry, and I thank you for your congrats.

My, my...I'd wish you luck in the contest..it appears though, that you do not need it... This poem is powerful, dangerous...sexy! I love how it ends...the result of justice is relief, the gaining back of pride, and notwithstanding victory. I feel your victory, I felt your anger, and your hunger...and when one feels so much in a poem, you know its great! I am not surprised how excited the readers are. I am too! Utterly stunning! Congrats.. Always, Laura
