My Greatest Gift and Biggest Weakness
My Greatest Gift
and Biggest Weakness
I recall my parents warning me, I was a little dense.
That my greatest gift and biggest weakness
was that I trusted so easily. My uniqueness
lies in the manner that I never take offence.
I've trusted and have been taken for a fool
yet each time I find myself trusting again, life's a sham.
It's a weakness, a flaw, and yet it's who I am.
I constantly put myself in predicaments to be plied like a tool.
My first high school football game was also my last.
My friends convinced me to sneak off, "We'll have a blast."
Whilst outside we strolled around chatting.
When it came time to go back in, they stood laughing.
I felt awful. I was played for a fool.
Shortly after my parents took me out of school.
