My God, Thank You For Covenanting With Me
September 4 Scripture Meditations Based on Haggai 1-2
Key Verse – Haggai 2:5 According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not.
MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR COVENANTING WITH ME
Thank You for covenanting with me toward eternal salvation
Making me secured of my received redemption
Thus, confirming my justification’s perfection
As I strive for Your assured transformation-fruition.
Thank You for covenanting with me toward heavenly goal
Making me purposive since You ransomed my soul
Thus, affirming my servant’s role
As I labour for Your glory along honourable achievement pole.
Thank You for covenanting with me toward spiritual fame
Making me virtuous for my Christian name
Thus, guarding my conviction’s frame
As I persevere for Your standards’ aim.
Thank You for covenanting with me toward holy worship
Making me delight in my entrusted stewardship
Thus, blessing my partnership’s relationship
As I follow Your fellowship’s leadership.
Thank You for covenanting with me toward faithful intimacy
Making me assured of my salvation-sufficiency
Thus, empowering my servanthood’s fervency
As I labour with Your might’s proficiency.
Thank You for covenanting with toward everlasting fulfillment
Making me satisfied of my godliness’ contentment
Thus, reviving my ministerial commitment
As I cling to Your empowerment in obeying Your commandment.
Thank You for covenanting with toward jubilant victory
Making me triumphant in my soulwinning territory
Thus, vanquishing my sinfulness’ misery
As I declare Your Gospel with deliverance-glory.
