My Goal Is Safety
The generic-brand black and white bumper sticker
on the commercial passenger van announces
MY GOAL IS SAFETY.
I immediately know this cannot be the van driver’s intent,
much less praxis,
so boldly bald-tire displayed,
MY SOLE GOAL FOR BEING HERE IS MY SAFETY.
My sole purpose,
soul’s meaning
is defense against possibility of offensive initiatives
against cooperative schools and defensive driving tools
heading our way.
I guess rather too much for a bumper sticker
from and for Earth’s merely human condemning pilgrims.
Even so,
not exactly fine print,
this issue of what is our main goal
and what outcomes should we expect
from our/your drive through life today?
But, surely not top goal as mere safety?
As a parent, much less a political candidate,
leader of vulnerable futures,
is your main goal for this next generation mere safety?
I can more multiculturally see regenerative healthy balance of safety
with wondrously enlightening
enlivening
grand epic adventures,
self-optimizing healthy climates and landscapes
and homes extending co-empathically trusting families
of regenerative Yang Bold holding Yin Safe.
Abundant flow of ecopolitical freedom from/to balancing powers
with nutritionally enriching dynamics
from infancy through passing
Back through further regenerative futures
of EarthCentric health and happiness
and deep learning eternal prosperity.
I can’t see myself voting for this political candidate driving
with bumper stickers promising
MY ECOPOLITICAL GOAL IS SAFETY
(especially from you?)
Defensive WinLose strategies against other monochromatic culture defenders
with rabidly terrorizing, overpopulating pathologies,
negative viral party intent
against Earth’s healthy-wealthy futures,
now already co-operatively present,
climates of ecological empowering abundance;
political power relationships as economic nutritionally integrative transactions,
psychological and deep learning ecoconsciousness,
cognitive-neural biosystemic sciences
as if Earth’s healthy bicameral climate ecology mattered
more than furthering faux-patriotic Business As TooCompetitively Usual
MY GOAL IS UNMITIGATED DEFENSIVE PARANOIA.
Excellent.
Now he is passing me on the right,
no lane change light,
going about 20 mph over posted sustainable limits,
and I think he just lit his pants on fire
when his cigarette fell
on his not-so-safely defended crotch.
Namaste, my brother.
Bless your unsafe heart,
Namaste.
