My First Blueberry Festival
Oh, fluffy delicious breakfast delight.
Fresh juicy fruit in each scrumptious bite
Blueberry pancakes started the day right.
Music, smiles, and candy led the parade.
Horses and old cars their grandeurs displayed.
Bands and church groups singing; and crowds hoorayed.
Lots of vendors selling crafts they have made.
Great foods like french-fries, shrimp, and fish filet.
Scented candles and soaps, fragrant array.
Train rides, pony rides, having fun…the rule!
Ices with pinwheels turned hot into cool.
Handcrafted jewelry and people from school –
Children dancing, watching balloons fly high.
Talent shows as grandmas and young folks…sigh!
And I do believe that “Elvis” stopped by!
Blueberry bushes grown in taste pursuit,
Juicy and sweet, most were loaded with fruit.
Ripe and ready for a bake-off tribute!
Great entertainment, excitement gone wild,
People participating went away and smiled.
A festival enjoyed…blueberry style!
Written to remember the Welborn, Florida Annual Blueberry Festival. My neighbor, my grandson, and I really enjoyed ourselves today! It was my first ever Blueberry Festival...small town and FUN!!!
