My Favorite Dish

My favorite dish was a roasting dish,
that my Mum used every week,
Sundays was roast day at our house back then,
A tradition I still try to keep.

If that roasting dish could talk,
what stories it would tell,
many memories still linger in my mind.

Casserole, fry up, roasts to pies,
the delicious meals this dish would make,
would bring a tear to your eyes.

We all loved that dish,
our roasting dish,
my two brothers, sister and I

But my most fondest memory of this dish,
was one of the game we use to play,
taking turns pushing each other down the stairs,
because our roasting dish doubled as a slay.
