Notes About The Poem

My Dreams Are Salmon Coloured

Declining the urge to go with the flow I swim upstream,

there to spawn and hatch countless dreams which freely

flow and then disperse in the vast ocean of my life.

Hi! Yes, I love water and I go swimming for about 6/7 months a year, weather permitting. Sea water and swimming form an excellent therapeutic combination! No, you are not weird...I have also learned to treat the sea with respect! Thank you for your complimentary remarks...your lovely visits are much appreciated. Hugss ~ paul

I hope you feel better soon Paul. I injured my knee and have been stuck upstairs for four days on crutches. Tomorrow I am going to try to go downstairs so I can use my desk top to get to PFT. My kindle doesn't work at pft. Take care. Hugs, Connie

Dear Paul Love this write my friend and the picture matches it perfectly, I'm an upstream swimmer myself, I think normal stoking is boring, I like the different strokes for different folks idealism, and if people don't like it that's there problem right my fine fellow. I like to be abnormal, it's alot more fun, enjoyed your poem very much. And you never change Paul, I'll see you upstream, cheri

I admire people who are not led by their noses, but instead forge ahead to get what they need, even if they have to work hard for it. Yep...I'll meet you upstream, my friend:) Thank you for a pleasant visit:) ~ Regards // paul

Hi Paul, i had to drop in and leave a comment on this excellent contest entry. This write has such an easy flow to it, the vision is so clear in my mind. There is a place up North a ways where you can actually watch the Salmon jumping upstream, they don't give in. I once saw one take seven jumps before it got up to the next level let's say, just wouldn't give in. Your words encapsulate the whole journey of the salmon Paul. Congrats on POTD. Stand a great chance in the contest, A seven....Vlad.
