My Dream--Part 1
There is a man who haunts my dreams,
He comes to me as starlight gleams,
He says,"Come with me, come with me--"
But I must say, "This can never be".
This man is mine and yet not mine,
For in my dreams, there is no sign-
That we could ever be together,
In my dreams, we will stay forever.
He is so sweet--and he is tender-
But with me he'll have to linger
With his call, "come with me, come with me,"
And I must say, "This cannot be".
If ever I visit his homeland-
I'll run with him over the sand,
We will laugh, and we will talk-
But in our lives, love can only mock.
