My Confectionary Daughter
*A Confectionary Daughter*
Slice by slice
Gesture by gesture
Passing out sweetness in the halls of her school
Sending out love telegrams in the way of her confectionary love
She is a rare kind of daughter
She never goes hungry
Nor does she desire this for her friends
Passing along them in the hallways at her not so famous high school
Her fans know her best by “Mikachu”
Doing her best to spread some love and laughter
Learning from sugar and smiles
She struggles to concentrate in her afternoon classes
As her sugar high hits the floor
She springs into action at the sound of the last bell
She leans up to her new boyfriend and has new secrets to tell
Planning for their long talks after the day has ceased
Her sugary friends depart onto their separate paths
Her new boyfriend and she connect on the airwaves
She retreats to her home in her simple suburb
Looking for new ways to bring smiles to their faces tomorrow
This is a day in the life of my daughter
I love my Mikachu too!
Mom!
