Ephesians 4:1 – KJV – “I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called.”

I sought Jesus
And He listened
I prayed with thanksgiving
And He whispered
“Love is the gift…
	Love is the answer…
		Love is the hope…
The joy and inspiration!

We are called to love
Love without conditions
Love with all our hearts
Love with all our spirits

We are called to love
Love with the same love we’ve been given
By the One who brings us into the light
Destroying the darkness of pain and strife
Coloring our dreams in hues of insight

We are called to give our love
To those who need it the most
The poor, pained and grieved
Those who need to be lifted up
Given a kind word, a gentle thought
	A sincere inspiration
		From the heart

I sought the Lord
And He breathed hope on my thoughts
Blessed me with His inspirations
Left my soul without any depression
Raised my hopes and fulfilled my yearnings
With love that is God breathed
Love that is full of wonder
	Love that brings sweet peace
Love that awakens my life
To be filled with a faith that abides
Reminding me why I am called…
To a love that only God creates
A love that is a fire filled with grace
A love that is alive and amazes
It is the Love that penetrates the soul
With a joy from God who I know
Is the answer to every prayer
The key to every worry or fear
The One who leads us to the awareness
	That He is with us…
Forever, always, everywhere – He’s there!

Love lives!

Gina, I must admit that I rarely read what I call "religious" poems, but I found this poem to be especially meaningful and refreshing to my spirit. Thanks so much.

The greatest calling - to love..called by the one who loved us first to go out and love even the unlovable.
