My Brother Spies a Princess
when she walks, it looks like gliding or skating, or dancing.
Her skirt has a little flipping motion, yet it is not prancing.
She must be a princess I tell my father and mother.
They are not as impressed, but then I note my brother.
His brown eyes are following her all over the place.
He begins walking a bit faster, yes, certainly picking up the pace.
Slow down Richard! My father says, but he keeps going on by.
My mother says real low in a very small breath “oh, my!”
We had thought Richard went the other way, but he likes this one.
Watching him all googly-eyes and giddy is really quite fun.
He says something to her, but she keeps walking faster and away.
I kind of feel sorry for my brother, this one tiny time, today.
