Oh, today I died a little inside again, I fell into a dark deep pit of darkness; laying beaten and broken inside of me. Do I have the power to fly up the steep tower? Will I be able to soar before decay reaches my core? Oh, today I died a little inside again, and I am feeling so full of lost despair; I keep pushing the sad memories away, away. But, they come back to wash over me and attack, I left the door open a crack and in came the black; Wish I could put all my sad in a sack and never unpack. Oh, today I died a little inside again, and I have broken pieces that make up me; yet, somehow I feel a new hope and strength. My spirit says stop crying for you are no dying, never give up trying and sorrow send away flying the future I am eyeing and all tears I will be denying so with one last sighing I move forward with all my being. _______________________________ February 8, 2019 Poetry/Rhyme/My Broken Places Copyright Protected, ID 19-1113-072-02 All Rights Reserved. This is a poem of unrhymed lines, and rhyming lines interwoven with inner rhymes, it can be any amount of verses starting with 5 lines, 6, 7, etc etc but I chose to do three verses. It is based on the Scripto form developed by Phil Capilano but I have tweeked it a bit.
