L Milton Hankins Poet Quatrain

My Birthday

December comes with an extra special gift
Even though the Japanese were once miffed
Every year my birthday falls on the fifth
So I like December…get my drift?

Both grandparents lived close but in different cities and my sister and I got presents at home and one gift at each grandparents house as well. We drew names to give to each year.
