My Best Mate
Me and my mate we talk all the time,
We talk when I get out of bed,
He’s the one that I see first thing in the day,
He’s my dependably likeable friend,
Who keeps all my wants perfect fresh and brand new,
He listens to all that I say,
And he gives the right answers to my rumble deep down,
He’s my cold white electric café,
He light’s when it’s dark and cools when it’s hot,
He’s clean and tidy and neat,
He gives me a smile when I’m buried with worry,
He helps me get back on my feet,
Me and my mate we meet all the time,
From dawn to dusk to night,
He’s my beautiful fridge upright in my kitchen,
Dressed in a beautiful white.
