My Best Friend

 ~ + ~

" A sweet friendship refreshes the soul."

Many friends have come and many have gone,
such sweet beauty that stayed just for awhile;
I have a friend that I can lean upon,
others have left without even a smile.

And that has left a dagger in my heart,
but there is one that stays no matter what;
and shares all my joy, fear, pain and my hurt,
been there when my confidence has been cut.

She is angel for always being there,
to pick up the broken pieces of me;
we share a deep special friendship quite rare,
where for me respect and trust is the key.

My best friend gives me poetic powers;
gone friends are a garden of dead flowers.
