My Awakening

My quill is forever
having to MEDIATE
between my heart
and my mind

For my mind is OBTUSE
to loves true existence
and my INDIGENT heart
believes in its magic
leaving me in a continuous
state of DELIRIUM

Often I wonder if love is
just an EGREGIOUS lie
Still my soul awaits
love, magical or not

So here I am with
quill in hand
to CONSECRATE
the DELICATE emotion
as I await my
AWAKENING

The heart wants what it wants and usually takes precedence over our minds, and still we welcome love. Your use of the chosen words was fantastic, Brenda.
