Mum's the Word

Putin made his mother so proud
She took refuge beneath a shroud
How she wanted to cheer,
"Give Vladimir a bier"*
But Russians don't dare speak out loud!

*bier=a stand on which a corpse
or coffin is placed

Well done, Rico. If his mother wished to see her son Putin lying on a bier, how the people of Russia and Ukraine must be wishing to see him lain on a bier

The learned Mr. Leffanta, you are not only a poet but an educator. Your limerick is wise, he is a son you would despise, forget the bier, he deserves a pyre! The man is insane, proof is what he is doing to the Ukraine. Your limericks are always topical and comical, you're the best limerick writer there is.

Sad situation over there right now. I am sure that many would love to see him on bier. Thanks for sharing and for dropping by my page. Sara
