The phone rings red Like an accusation Love is fleeting not dead Embrace emancipation No longer a thing teal Fantastic run we had I no longer fuchsia feel Sad that you are mad I have to be selfish Like you were to me I’m allergic to shellfish And you swam straight to me As a purple people pleaser Wanted to be your everything Chameleon love life a teaser Joy left me with the spring Mulberry trees dance in breeze And butterflies rage a ballet I’m a sunflower of golden peace And self love secretes serenade

A butterfly ballet... seems like an appropriate description of their graceful flight. I haven't read the theme behind Kai's contest, but good luck with your entry, Karen.

Thanks Lin! I know it’s not the typical love poem. I think it is what he wants but I’m uninspired lol!
