Mountain Birds

Atop the mountain
The small gurgling brook begins
A song of Nature

A song of Nature
Whispering down the mountain
It’s sweet melody

It’s sweet melody
Babbling through the forest floor
Rushing to the sea

Rushing to the sea
Streams and brooks burble over
Roaring waterfalls

Roaring waterfalls
Splashing into the ocean
Far from the mountain

Very nicely written. The travels of the raindrops. How far they reach. The poem had a wonderful flow and I could feel myself splashing from one verse to the next!

Please try 'Obsession' It's a six-parter, and the longest piece I have ever written. A tribute to Eliot's 'Portrait Of A Lady' Thank you for your interest in my work! KB

The songs of the brook, sea and waterful are a melodic and welcome escape for the reader, HG. Oh, to be in the places you bring to life in sound with your descriptive words! Surely, you will do well in Raul's contest. Raul has such a good eye and ear for capturing nature; I'm sure he will appreciate this excellent poem! Love to you! Carolyn
