Moths To Flame

As moths, man draws near to light --
Sun bathing by day, moon bathing
By night – they both can burn, you
Know – days, more apt the skin,
As for nights, brave play a potentially kindling
Part -- Love, the oldest inflaming protagonist~
And the theater, a highly, combustible human
Heart….

I'll take my chances on that night flame, if it's all the same with you. Nicely done, gw

potentially kindling ... or protagonist - ... the theater - you bounced the correct possibilities and feelings as far as my moon reactions have registered. AND you did it poetically well. Oh, that moon. Oh, we moths.

Joe, your lovely poem creatively illustrates human attraction to danger using the metaphor of moths to light. The imagery is strong, and the theme of love as a consuming force resonates well.

Fantastic work here with imagery. My favorite line is "they both can burn, you Know – days, more apt the skin,".
