mothers plea, sons forgiveness

...my son....my son
   I can see your teardrops
                                       slowly fall

So please don`t cry out loud
                                             in despair

 I`m sorry for my disdain

the disdain
that caused you so much pain

and now I will show you
                                    that I really care

 so hear my solemn plea
as I bow down upon bended knee

so let me
again fly upon an angel's wing

accept my sorrow
and in the past just let it be

. ...oh mother...oh mother
I know you haven`t been perfect
                                                in every way

that was yesterday
and today a new day dawns

you`ve opened the door
                       to let the sunshine through

this light I will bathe
to let the sorrow wash away

I'm your child
so how could I forever hate

you have given me heartache
                            you have given me joy

so with open arms
                           I will accept your plea

and once again we will be
                                    a loving mother and son
