Mother's day
Once a woman knows she is with
child, on her face she wears a smile.
She prepares for that special day
when a child finally comes her way.
With childbirth comes tears and pain,
but her child's smile clears the rain.
She knows her child is a blessing from
above, so she gives her child shelter,
food and especially love.
A mother's love is safe and warm, she
protects her child through every storm.
When the world doesn't treat you right,
a mother stands up to help you fight.
She puts your needs above her own
and makes you feel you're never alone.
If a child breaks a mother's heart, she
allows for a brand new start.
When a mother is no longer there, her
deeds will let you know she always cared.
For all the things that our mothers do,
they should be honored all year through.
