Motherhood - Abiyamo
Abiyamo
Infinity
He had gone too far
Now she is gone
He sighed
sat back in retrospect
drawing a sarcastic smile
dreading the lifetime scourge
life has saddled on him
He shrieks then moaned
the sounds piercing through him
despite all her pain
spending her own gain
now she is gone
She who unfaltering
fought the heavens
cried to the sun
pledged to the moon
pulled down the stars
tugged the winds
even forfeited to Olodumare
just to carve you a path
now with your feet
fitted with greatness
you stood in ignorant fury
to crush the now tender reed
Alas, the saddened cry
Abiyamo ooo
