Mother Natures Painting
Mother natures been out painting
But the green was running short.
She had painted all the leaves she could
the trees the meadow floors.
The hedge rows and the lake shores.
lime green dark green a shiney green and more.
Big leaves , litte leaves
grasses tall and short.
Even brambles and the weeds
just green, she must be getting bored
and then she came to paint the ancient forest floor
I think I will paint it blue she said.
and when the bells they ring no more
it will be summer knocking at our door.
