Moses

Moses led the Israelites up out of Egypt through the desert to the Promised Land.

He hesitated but God roared, "Mo, you the man!" placing a magic staff in his hand!

So Moses with resolute stride led the rowdy bunch to the land of milk and honey,

Muttering to himself, "Danged if I'll ever do this again for any amount of money!"

It reads as if we have the same first name relationship with God. Not sure if He appreciates my offhand manner in our conversations, but I think He likes the accurate representation of His created. Well done Bob. ! Chuck

Dear Bob, Many thanks for your kind remarks. I wouldn't expect you to comment all the time. I am still working on getting that website up and running. Had a few other things to attend to. Glad you are enjoying my poetry. God bless always, Maureen

High five for the "Hew" Bob. You did a lot. I love this one! I love Moses' mental reservations while leading the flock. Ha, ha, Ha Dalila

Russell was correct. Moses died on Mt. Nebo as he watched Joshua lead the people across the Jordan River into the land. Good write Bob.

Just so you know, Moses never made it to the Promised Land! God saw that he was slipping away from him a tad and wouldn't allow him in...just had them go around in circles pretty much! Many years went by and Moses finally died...not long after that they made it in! They gave credit to Moses however for leading them there near it! Just thought I'd let you know, great Clerihew Bob! Awesome Work!!
