Morning Tea Leaves

Steam rises from my mug I close my eyes and reflect Breathing in the notes of lavender Losing myself in the land Where these leaves were harvested I know they breathed the mountain air Every time I sip, I breathe it, too Tastes of lands far away Dance on my tongue My body is warmed My head space is clear I am ready to begin my day And take the mountain leaves with me
