Morning Musings

morning sunrise ~
painting mountain peaks
in soft pastel
of purple and peach
as birch trees sway
in unison
with my windswept hair

I run and chase~
the gossamer of light
gently panning
through my windowpane
hoping I could find
even a glimpse
of your silhouette;
Alas, nothing is left
but  a gentle echo
of your sweet adieu.
