Morning Light

Morning Light I hear the steps of morning light from the corner of the room to the window sill Pause for a moment on the tender shoots of sunflowers Huge arms grow out of the pearly shining light hug the city gently that is still in the dreams of night I see it put on a pure smile on the baby's mouth inject the joy of life Into the old man's eyes All the nightmares are expelled by the morning light The whole world wakes up slowly in a sweet whiteness

Stina, this is a fantastic metaphoric triumph! I do not do metaphors; they are much too difficult but I can appreciate them. My soul is smiling at your poems.
