Moon In Broad Daylight
.
I overheard a four-year old ask his dad
Why he saw the moon at daytime
But never saw the sun at night.
Quite surprised, the man pondered for a long while
On how to explain the matter
With an answer truthful and right.
He scratched his head and tried to change the topic
But the boy stuck to his question
Cannot be persuaded outright.
I was four long, long ago, dad fumbled, too
Same question, same delight
Pale moon out there in broad daylight.
